Back IN australia!

HEllo every'one,
 I am back in Australia since a week now. I was there for cheering up all the europeans.
That was a good contest specially for the girls they blow my mind! The new generation are ripping so hard!!
Carissa won the event ,she was so solid in her surfing ! she show us all her repertory of new school maneuvers. that was just insane !!
Sally missed the final for nothing..I was kind of sad for her.. she was so close!! " C est la vie"!!
Next time..
That was a really good start for popo in the world tour  she surfed well . she lost in the round 4 against Tyler the finalist of the event! Well done.
Michel has a good start too he finished 9th and Tiago finished 3!
Good to see them at this level!

well 1 more day in snapper and we going to Newcatle for a 6 stars event.
That s gonna be the first event of the year .. and It's important to have a good start . The forecast looks so-so..
the waves gonna certainly be small! but i am feeling confident with my boards! And i am exiting to be back   on  tour!! yoohoo! I wil update my blog next week .

Fresh news from the rocks!!

HI there,

St Leu

Some fresh news from Reunion Island.. Everything doing well .. I am enjoying a lot to surf my favorite spot in the world : St leu . 

We didn't get big swell but still so perfect..

Last week a men get attacked by a shark on the spot of "3 roches"

a lot of shark cruise in the line up lately.. and everyone  freaks out!

the last few days were rainy .. so we know its dangerous to surf after rain and at sunset time .. but ... unfortunately.. sometimes we are to stubborn and drama happens!

So I hope this sad incident make everyone  realize .. how dangerous is the ocean if we are not follow some basic rules...

Some  rules: 

• NO Surf after heavy  rain
• No Surf at night or late in the day..
• If you cut yourself... go out of the water!! 
• Don't surf by yourself..
• And follow your instinct.. if you don't feel it!!! don't do it!! 
• If you don't know the spot.. don't hesitate to ask at the locals guys around .. or fisherman . They will tell you..for sure!!! 

BUT KEEP SURFING!!!  SHARK ARE NOT WORSE AS HUMAN!!!

Salut tout le monde,

Quelques news de La Reunion,

Tout se passe super bien , je fais le plein d énergie avant de repartir en Australie pour deux etapes importantes ( Newcatle et Margaret Rivers.)

J ai la chance de surfer mon spot préféré tous les jours : St Leu... pas de gros swell pour le moment  mais des vagues d une rare perfection!!

La semaine dernière un homme s est fait attaquer par un requin bouledogue  sur le spot de "3 roches"

Malheureusement cet accident nous fait réaliser a quel point l Ocean est dangereux... surtout si on ne respecte pas les quelques règles  fondamentales.

 A retenir:

• Ne jamais surfer après de forte pluies 
• Ne jamais surfer de nuit ou a la nuit tombante
• Si vous vous blesse ou saigne ..sortez immédiatement de l eau .
• Ecoutez votre instinct .. si vous ne le sentez  pas.. ne rentrez pas dans l eau! 
• Si vous ne connaissez pas le spot ,ne pas hesiter a se renseigner au pres des locaux ou pecheurs.. ils vous conseilleront rapidement! 

CONTINUEZ DE SURFER LES REQUINS NE SONT PAS PLUS MAUVAIS QUE CERTAINS HUMAINS!!

In Loving Memory of  Alex,

4 days you  been flying in heaven

 I am sure you are peacefull there

4 Long days for us, everyone missing you .

But we have to keep going , and follow our dream .

I think you were too young for leaving us.

I am in the plane right now on my way back to Reunion Island, 

Your Island … I can t sleep… I am just thinking of all your friends and  team mate in oz  , and france.

  Wasn t that long I met you  but I just remember your smile and your motivation in  all your session!

You were an amanzing and passionate kid, and the French team gonna feel really empty with out you.
We made  a ceremony for you in lennox head , all your friends and coach,were there ….for you.

We just just wished to jump back in a past and never heard this bad news!!!

But that happens…. Why?? I don’t know.. but something I m sure ,  you are in your heart for ever.. take care of us from up-there … 

In few hours  , I am going to be in your “home breack” for a  last goodbye.

bye for now grom’s …….. we ll gonna see you again…someday  …but  later…

Lennox Head Ceremony 13-02-2011

En mémoire de Ti Alex,

4 jours que tu es parti

4 long jours pour nous.

La nouvelle a frappe comme  un tsunami dans le camp.

Le camp où l’on aurait ­préféré te voir et ne jamais entendre cette triste nouvelle.

Le Pole sans toi ne sera  plus la même chose… je ne peux cesser de penser aux jeunes , tes potes

Toujours en Australie à essayer de trouver le courage de continuer de se battre et s entraîner …

Tu leur manque tellement.

 L équipe de France était un rêve pour toi… et c est pour cela qu’ils continueront de se battre! Pour toi ..

Je suis dans l avion à chercher  le sommeil... Mais  le vide et la tristesse de ta disparition laissée dans  toute l équipe hante mes pensées…

Dans quelques heures je serai sur ton caillou, et ont t offrira un dernier hommage pour toi  notre ti ange parti trop tôt…..

On se retrouvera … un jour… prend soin de nous de la haut.. et donne la force  à ta famille et tes amis de continuer …..

news week 1 training camp

Helloooo,
My first week  was really intense! but so good to be back on my routine.
6h30 wake up and straight to the lake for doing some exercise,canoe,swimming,running..... it s really hard to do that  before have breakfast.. I was at the limit to past out couple times.. but in final.. we all feel so good and ready to start the day!
9h/12 for the first surf ,
12h/14h lunch time
14h/15h30 work out at the gym.
16h/18h second surf.
19h dinner time
20h Stretch

So yes we got a really busy day! but we are so lucky to have this camp.
5 coach , cameraman,physio,...  we need nothing else.. just have to follow the flow of this positive energy!!! and everything gonna be alright for 2011!

Bonjourrrr,
Ma premiere semaine fut vraiment intense  mais c'est juste magique de revenir dans ma routine .
On se reveille a 6h30  et enchaine direct avec le lac ou l on commence notre réveil musculaire . Au programme canoë, natation , course a pied...pas facile de s'activer autant avec les estomacs vides... mais au final on se sent tous super bien pour débuter la journée..
Au programme :
9h/12h pour le premier surf
12h/14h pause dejeuner
14h/15h30 seance physique
16h/18h second surf
19h dinner
20h stretch

Nos journées sont bien remplies et épuisantes mais nous avons vraiment énormément de chance d'avoir l'opportunité de participer a un camp d'entrainement comme celui-ci.
A notre disposition 5  coachs, cameraman, kine,.. rien ne manque ...
